CALLS FOR WORK: Due September 1, 2007

Paper Theatre, the publisher of Play A Journal of Plays, is pleased to announce a new online literary gallery, DEVICE, slated to launch in fall '07. DEVICE is curated by Robert Quillen Camp.
The following are the calls for work:

1. 1000 Potential Plays
Submit ten original titles for plays you wish someone would write. The titles will be posted in our online database and be part of the launch of our new website in the coming months. Please submit electronically to titles@playjournal.com by September 1, 2007.

2. Device Podcast
Sound/Theater, Device’s Fall ‘07 Podcast, will be devoted to presenting and contextualizing audio selections from theatrical performances that highlight sound as a primary creative element – from experimental opera to radio theater to technology- based performance art. Each bi-weekly episode of the podcast will feature one artist or ensemble and be approximately 15 minutes long. To be considered for the first round of the Device Podcast, please submit a brief description of the work to podcast@playjournal.com by September 1, 2007.
